Elizabeth Hendren, JD (WSBA# 45253) is a staff attorney at Northwest Justice Project. In 2012, she created the Reentry Initiated through Services and Education (RISE) Project, which provides comprehensive civil legal services to currently and formerly incarcerated mothers to facilitate family reunification. Elizabeth also serves on the Gender and Justice Commission, where she chairs the Incarceration, Gender & Justice Committee. She is the Lead Author of Chapter 16 of “Gendered Consequences of Incarceration and Criminal Convictions, Particularly for Parents, Their Children, and Families” the 2021 Gender Justice Study.
